The Truth is Awkward.

So you know, even the idea of writing a blog makes me very uncomfortable.

I've abandoned my share of well intended blogs (paving a stretch of the road to hell).

I've been an introvert since before it was cool (Thanks for that, Susan Cain).

I also know that I have discovered a few things over the course of the last few decades - things I think can help other people.

And it's not like I've discovered the cure for hangnails, or revolutionized the ice cream industry.  There's nothing new under the sun, including the ingredients in the soup I've cooked up.

But I'm the one cooking it.  So there's that.

And it's my special recipe.  So that's something, too.

I know I'm supposed to find my voice.  Create great copy.  Sell it!

But holy shit, that's exhausting, and I'd rather be helping people.

And yes - I have been known to swear like a trucker.  So I'm just going to get that out there now in case you're squeamish.  (Have you noticed that shows produced by Netflix, Amazon & premium cable channels will have a gratuitous sex scene in the first 30 seconds - just so you've been warned of what may happen in the future?)

I digress.

So this blog/process isn't going to be formulaic.  Or "right."  But it will be honest.

I'm super not perfect.

To prove it I will admit that last line was a typo.  It was supposed to read: "I'm not super perfect."

Upon seeing it though, I thought:  Yeah.  That's right.  I'm super, not perfect.

You're super, too.

Any time I try to be perfect, I end up falling flat.

Scrub perfect off of my list of things to strive for, and I end up being super (by accident even).  Ha! There you have it.

Anyway - I'm here to tell you that HeartMath® is amazing.  And you probably think that you've done this (a rose by any other name... meditation - or mindful breathing - or pranayama).

I thought that.  My fellow trainers thought that.  The people I've trained thought that, too.  And in the end, we all came to the same conclusion:

This is different.

This works in the way I always wanted those other things to work (but didn't).

This stands alone and helps make those even more effective.

It is different.  And you don't know what you don't know.  And neither did I.  But I'm sure glad that I kept my mind open and decided to invest in myself.  The results have changed me.  In a good way.

So I can coach you individually, or you can request a training for a small group, or I can come to your organization and give you the (no swearing - I promise) professional version of the training.

This is good stuff, and I just want to share it.  You get to decide what that looks like.

I'm here to serve you, my (potential) client, with tools, technology, and a plan for implementing them.

Okay - the sun is shining and I'm going out for some Mexican food.

You're a beautiful human.

I'll leave you with this parting thought:

Survival mode is supposed to be a phase

that helps you save your life.

It is not meant to be how you live.

- Michele Rosenthal

HeartMath® helps take you out of survival mode, so that you can do the work you're called to, enjoy the sunshine, and eat some Mexican food.  ;)

Casey
